Ada Maduakoh, B.A (hons), LLB, BL. Chief Executive
Ada Maduakoh, B.A (hons), LLB, BL. Chief Executive is a qualified lawyer and management consultant with over 20 years experience in advocacy and training on human rights and minority issues gathered from her work with the United Nations in the promotion of refugee law and human rights world-wide. She has also held a number of senior positions in the private and public sectors. Fully bi-lingual (French and English), she is highly skilled in human rights advocacy.
Ms. Maduakoh is considered a specialist in human rights notably minority and women's rights. Ms. Maduakoh in her capacity as Legal Adviser(Human rights liaison), UNHCR Geneva, was instrumental in raising awareness amongst UN staff and the international human rights community of the link between human rights and refugee rights and conducted a number of seminars in this regard for UN staff and members of Government and non-governmental bodies world-wide. She represented UNHCR at various UN Human rights committees based in Geneva and top-level inter-governmental and international conferences on human rights in Africa, Asia and Europe.
Ms. Maduakoh is an executive Board member of the North London Chamber of Commerce, member of the Institute of Business Advisers and the Institute of Leadership and Management, a member of the Discrimination Law Association, Enfield Racial Equality Council, Black Londoners Forum, Advisory Board member of the Equality and Diversity practitioners Code of practice Committee, as well as Chairperson of Indigo African-Caribbean Consultants and Advocates, a not for profit organisation.
Patricia Shalet - partnership & new business development manager
Patricia has been with the company since 2006 and has made the significant shift from being a freelance Consultant with us, to becoming our Partnership & New Business Development Consultant. Educated to degree level in Psychology, Sociology and Management, Patricia has honed valuable business skills working in the private sector and moving into the voluntary sector in 1986.
Patricia has managed ESF service delivery on Women Returner programmes, ‘Back to Work’ training for Tesco’s and Sainsbury’s, and she also pioneered Job Club provisions in Hertfordshire and North London. Patricia is highly self-motivated with a determined nature and an ability to motivate, nurture and lead others to fulfil their potential to achieve their goals.
LENA WILLIAMS, BA - SENIOR OPERATIONS MANAGER
Lena
Williams, BA - Senior Operations Manager, responsible for facilitating
the efficient running of all the delivery centres.
Prior to joining ProDiverse, she worked as both a Centre and as a
Deputy Area Manager for a leading welfare to work Company, the Careers
Development Group, in Eastbourne, East Sussex. Both roles encompassed
key responsibilities, including overseeing five centres in the Surrey
and Sussex Area and daily management of the various centres, alongside
several other key functions in Finance, HR, Quality and Performance,
Contracts and Procurement etc.
Before this, Ms Williams held a variety of positions, including working
on various projects in the Asset Finance Division, Lloyds TSB, London
from July 2003-May 2006, and two years combined experience as a
Customer Service Representative and Staff Trainer for an American
Telecommunications Company, ACN Europe BV, based in Amsterdam,
Netherlands. She has also previously worked as an Assistant Nurse in an
elderly person's retirement home, during where she was responsible for
all aspects of the daily care of the eight patients in the unit.
Ms Williams holds a BA in Psychology from Santa Monica College, Los
Angeles, and is a Certified Assistant Nurse. Apart from the numerous in
house presentation and skills training courses she took at the
University of Lloyds TSB, she can speak and write in fluent Danish and
English, and has an understanding of German. Her main traits are being
a team player with a good sense of humour, whilst maintaining a
professional manner.
Alemu Demissie, MSC, Dip. Accounts - Finance and Claims Manager
Mr.
Alemu Demissie has an MSC in Engineering and a Diploma in Finance and
Accounts Management. He has been with the organisation for over two
years, firstly as part-time book keeper in January 2004, he was then
subsequently promoted to Senior Finance and Claims officer in 2005 and
promoted again late 2005 due to his outstanding performance and
diligence to his current role as Finance and Claims Manager, with the
main responsibility of overseeing the financial management and quality
control of the company. Mr. Demissie works with the company Accountant
to plan and manage the company's finances. His main duties consist of
developing, implementing, monitoring and reviewing the company's
financial systems and manages the claims and finance team. He is also
responsible for all aspects of strategic and operational management,
delivery plan implementation, policy development and forward planning
for the finance and claims unit. He also undertakes all quality control
duties and management of the company's assets and resources
An outstanding manager who pays attention to detail, he is one of the most valued assets of the company.
